JOVIAL PROGRAMMING LANGUAGE

In 1963 I joined System Development Corporation (SDC) in Santa Monica, CA as a computer programmer trainee.  The requirements for that position were a college degree, math through calculus, and a willingness to relocate.  I went through 13 weeks of training and was assigned to maintain a JOVIAL compiler.  I invite you to read Ponogram #47 to review that class and the assignment that followed.

This brochure from November 1960 covers the early days of JOVIAL at SDC and has pictures of several of the people I worked with and for during that assignment and later at Abacus Programming Corporation.
